INTRODUCING... OUR PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY BOARD
Crime Times is pleased to introduce in this issue Dr. C. Ray Jeffery, a member of our
highly distinguished Professional Advisory Board.
DR. C. RAY JEFFERY is Professor Emeritus of Criminology at Florida State University.
He is a past president of the American Society of Criminology, a recipient of the
Sutherland Award from that association, a Fulbright-Hays research fellow to the
Netherlands, and the founding editor of Criminology: an Interdisciplinary Journal.
He has
held fellowships to the University of Chicago Law School and the University of
Wisconsin Law School.
Dr. Jeffery's primary professional focus is on crime prevention and the biological
foundations of criminal behavior. His major publications include Crime Prevention
Through Environmental Design, Biology and Crime, and Criminology, an Interdisciplinary
Approach. His emphasis has been on integrating crime prevention approaches including
biology, psychology, sociology, and law.
